Tracking Inflation at Aftermarket News
I took a look at inflationary pressures in the automotive aftermarket. Even though the Consumer Price Index has been accelerating, the CPI for motor vehicle repair has been accelerating even faster. I look at some of the numbers over at Aftermarket News.
“on average, prices for motor vehicle maintenance and repair have risen faster than the overall inflation rate. The vehicle repair CPI stood at 358.6 in October, compared to 298.1 for the overall CPI.”
